Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Do you accept my dental insurance?
A: YES! Southside Smiles, LLC is happy to assist our patients who are covered by dental insurance. Because we have found that patients who take an active role in their insurance tend to have the highest level of benefits, we will work with you to ensure that together we can achieve the maximum benefit allowed. The contract with the insurance company is between you, the patient, and the insurance carrier. Inquiries regarding claims are your responsibility.

Q: Do you have options to finance my treatment?
A: YES! It is important to make definite financial arrangements before any treatment is performed. This will enable you to know exactly what your financial responsibility will be. There are several possible methods of payment:

1.. Payment Plans: Payment is made monthly. Extra Credit , through Alaska USA, offers a convenient method by which treatment may be done now, when it is needed, and paid for in a way that will fit within your budget. Interest free and extended plans are available (On Approval of Credit).

2. Payment at Time of Service: Payment is made in full at each appointment. Payment methods are cash, personal check, or major credit card.

Q: What is your appointment policy?

A: It is of the utmost importance to us that we offer not only the best dental care possible, but also that we are able to serve each of our patients in a timely manner. We try very hard to be considerate of your time and would hope you would do the same for us and your fellow patients. In order to provide the best possible care for all of our patients we require at least 48 hours notice to change your appointment.
Failure to show or cancellations with less than 48 hours notice for scheduled appointments will result in a $75.00 charge for booked times.

Q: How long will my appointments generally last?

A: Your new patient experience will last approximately one hour. The second visit includes your professional cleaning and a no-charge consult with Dr. Ryan or Dr. Cindy. This may last from one to two hours depending upon your current level of oral fitness and your goals for long-term oral health. Visits for treatment will vary depending upon your individual needs.
